Bishkek – Gazprom will supply Kyrgyzstan with 450 million cubic meters of gas in 2015, the Russian gas giant's CEO, Alexei Miller, said.

“The republic will be supplied with 450 million cubic meters of gas at a price of $165 per 1,000 cubic meters, the contract base for supplies, including those from Uzbekistan, will be fulfilled completely,” Miller said, answering a question from Interfax.

He said that the sanctions against Russia are not affecting the plans of Gazprom in the republic. The company, in particular, is planning to allocate $16 million for geological exploration at the Mayluu-Su and Kugart fields in the south of the republic.

During his conversation with journalists, Miller said Gazprom increased supplies of gas to the Jambyl state district power plant in Kazakhstan, in order to supply the power generated there to Kyrgyzstan.

“All our prices and calculations are in dollars and given in relation to the abovementioned common denominator. In addition this plan is valid in Kyrgyzstan until 2030, according to which increasing the gasification level by three times is stipulated. We intend to work in Kyrgyzstan on a wide scale,” he said.
