The inauguration of Moscow's likely new Mayor Sergei Sobyanin whose appointment is to be confirmed on Thursday, will take place on the same day, Moscow City Duma Speaker Vladimir Platonov said.
"The mayor will assume office after being sworn in at 6 p.m. This will happen at the White Hall at the City Hall at number 13 Tverskaya Street," he told journalists on Monday.
The Moscow City Duma will meet after the election of the new mayor at noon on Thursday, Platonov said.
