No one died but several passengers incurred injuries in a Mil Mi-8 helicopter crash in the Tomsk region, a regional air traffic controller told Interfax.

“The Mi-8 of Tomskavia was carrying more than 20 shift team members. It fell down 15 meters short of the landing pad and collapsed sideway. Everyone aboard is alive,” he said.

The injured passengers were given medical aid.

Meanwhile, the regional emergency situations department told Interfax that the crashed helicopter had up to 25 people aboard. “The accident happened near the landing pad of the Luginetskoye shift team settlement. The helicopter might have had from 22 to 25 shift team members aboard,” it said.
