Irkutsk – A Ukrainian citizen was aboard a Robinson helicopter, which crashed in the Irkutsk region, Russia, on August 6.

Two people were on board of the aircraft, a pilot and a passenger – the citizen of Ukraine. They both died, the press service of East Siberian traffic control department of the Russian Investigation Committee reported.

Around 1800, Moscow time, under conditions of poor visibility, the helicopter crashed into a hill. Its pilot and passenger were killed, according to the report.

“There were two people aboard – a pilot, Artur Assadulin, and a passenger, Vasyl Zazulchak, a citizen of Ukraine. They have been identified,” the report reads.

Investigators consider adverse weather conditions or pilot error as possible causes of the accident, the press service said.

The helicopter was flying from the city of Kirenst to the town of Davydovo. Its debris and the bodies of its pilot and passenger were found at 0500 on August 7.
