You're reading: Ukrainian, Russian discuss fight against political extremism in Odesa

 Odesa – Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kliuyev and Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev have held talks in Odesa, an Interfax-Ukraine reporter said on Wednesday.

The sides discussed cooperation between the countries’ law enforcement agencies in the sphere of information security, the fight against international terrorism and political extremism.

“We talked about economic security, international information security, and the fight against terrorism and political extremism,” Patrushev said.

“We discussed the [recent] attack on the Justice Ministry. How we could work together against such a cyber attack. In addition, we shared our experiences in fighting terrorism… We will tackle these matters within the CIS in November,” Kliuyev said.
