In June the Hungarian parliament approved a \u20ac10 billion, Moscow-backed financing program to build nuclear reactors designed by Rosatom. Hungarian opposition politicians and civic groups complained that the deal was preceded by little public debate or public feasibility studies. They have asked the EU to look into whether the arrangement respects European legislation.
