You're reading: Discovery of Russia’s observatory may change idea of universe physics

Moscow - The Russian orbiting observatory has successfully registered nuclei of Galactic BL Lizard and objects in constellations Camelopardalis, Cancer and Hydra, the Lavochkin Research and Production Center's website reports.

“Many of these objects have brightness temperatures of about 10 trillion Kelvin (ten raised to the 13th power), which is higher than expected by astronomers. This is extremely important for studying physics of galactic nuclei. Discoveries of the kind may eventually change the idea of universe physics,” the report said.

An atlas of galaxies studied by Spectrum-R will be created upon the end of the review of active galactic nuclei.

Lavochkin is the designer of Spectrum-R.
