You're reading: Over 400 scientists to participate in Ukraine-Russia-Skolkovo: Single Innovation Space conference

Over 400 Ukrainian and foreign scientists will participate in an international conference entitled Ukraine-Russia-Skolkovo: a Single Innovation Space, which will take place in Kyiv on May 22-24.

Among the organizers of the conference is the Foundation for Development of the Center for Elaboration and Commercialization of New Technologies (Skolkovo Foundation, Russia), the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, and the Nauka Scientific and Industrial Concern.

As the organizing committee of the conference told Interfax-Ukraine, the scientific program of the international conference includes fundamental and applied matters of the creation of science-intensive technologies, materials and products in five areas of Skolkovo’s activity: biomedical, information, energy saving, space and nuclear technologies.

“The possible cooperation of Ukrainian enterprises and organizations with the Skolkovo Foundation will be considered. In particular, this will include the possible formation and implementation of target investment projects on the territory of Ukraine: Ukrainian specialists have huge potential, and have done a great amount of groundwork that could be used in various sectors,” the organizing committee reported.

The work of the conference will be led by Vice President of Russia’s Academy of Sciences Zhores Alferov, Chairman of the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization of Ukraine Volodymyr Semynozhenko, and President of Shevchenko Kyiv National University Leonid Hubersky.
