Background radiation in the fire area is normal and is 20 micro-roentgen per hour on average. There has been no rise in background radiation in the adjacent areas as a result of the fire.

A mobile command station has been set up in the fire area to conduct general coordination of the efforts to extinguish the forest fire, the agency recalled.
