Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that he would like Ukraine's national football team to take a decent place at the Euro 2012 European Football Championship as a response to calls for a boycott of Euro 2012 matches in Ukraine.

"I’d like our team to show decent performance and take a decent place at the championship. Thus, we would have responded to all those spiteful critics who are currently rejoicing at calls for a boycott of Euro 2012," he wrote on his page on Facebook, while communicating with users Friday.
