Having enlivened a Euro 2012 press conference by challenging a journalist to a fight, it should be no surprise that Ukraine coach Oleg Blokhin expects his team to be on the front foot when they face England at Wembley.
Blokhin, European Footballer of the Year in 1975 and a Wembley winner with the Soviet Union when they defeated England 2-0 under the Twin Towers nine years later, perhaps owes his supreme self-confidence to his pedigree as a player, when only the Iron Curtain denied him a lucrative career in Italy or Spain.
