You're reading: Dutch striker Jeremain Lens joins Dynamo Kyiv

Dynamo Kyiv has filled a crucial position after signing 25-year-old Dutch striker Jeremain Lens to a four-year contract for an undisclosed amount, the club announced on June 18.

Coming from PSV Eindhoven, he
is scheduled to join the team on June 28
. Lens has made 11
appearances for the Netherlands.

Dynamo has struggled to fill the striker position after Andriy
Shevchenko’s retirement in July and Artem Milevsky was relegated to the club’s
farm team following several seasons of under-performance. Lately, Dynamo has
relied on Nigerian Brown Ideye to fill the void who had 17 goals this season,
more than the rest of the club’s forwards combined. But he has been constantly
hampered with injuries with the team’s lack of depth in the striker position
showing when he’s not on the pitch.
