You're reading: FC Metalist gets new vice-president and director general

The management of FC Metalist Kharkiv has been reshuffled, the club's press service reported on Monday.

Serhiy Volyk, who previously served as Metalist’s director general,
was appointed the club’s vice-president. Volodymyr Karpenko was
appointed the new director general of the club.

Regional media reported, citing their own sources, that Volyk will
now deal with the purchase of the municipal part of the Metalist Stadium
and oversee the city’s preparations for the European Basketball
Championship in 2015.

The club’s press service neither confirmed nor denied this information to Interfax-Ukraine.

Volyk is 40 years old. He graduated from Kharkiv National Academy of
Municipal Economy and Kharkiv Yaroslaw the Wise National Law Academy. He
served as director general of FC Metalist for almost five and a half
years.

Karpenko is 57 years old. He is a doctor of technical sciences,
professor and lecturer at Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway
University.
