You're reading: FFU: Ukraine climbs 11 spots in FIFA ranking

FIFA has published the ranking of national football teams, in which Ukraine has climbed 11 spots, reads a statement posted on the official Web site of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) on Thursday, April 11. 

Ukraine is now in 37th place, with 675 points, and moved ahead of Serbia, Zambia, Bolivia, Paraguay, Australia, Ireland, Panama, Tunisia, Turkey, Bulgaria and South Korea.

“Poland, our country’s opponent in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, lost two positions. The Polish team is now 63rd. Moldova lost seven spots in the rating, moving from 131st and to 138th position. Montenegro, quite the contrary, improved its performance, rising from 28th to 27th place,” reads the statement.

Spain is still on top of the table. It is followed by Germany and Argentina. Croatia is in fourth place, up four spots. Portugal jumped from seventh to fifth position.
