MOSCOW - Russian gas giant Gazprom may buy a 25% stake in the Italian soccer club Milan, the paper Tutto Mercato writes.
Gazprom is denying this. “The report that Gazprom is to be a sponsor
or co-owner of the football club Milan is not accurate,” official
Gazprom representative Sergei Kupriyanov told Interfax.
Two years ago, a La Gazzetta Dello Sport report on a deal like this was denied by club owner Silvio Berlusconi and Gazprom.
