Police are on high alert to avoid a repeat of soccer hooligan violence in Poland before decisive European Championship matches.

Thousands of Russia supporters are in Warsaw to watch their team play Greece on Saturday, and authorities fear the potential for more trouble after disturbances between Poles and Russians on Tuesday led to a few dozen injuries and more than 200 arrests.

Around 20,000 Russian and 4,000 Greeks have tickets for the game at the National Stadium, which was built especially for the tournament. Reports from border crossings said fewer Russian fans were coming than expected and that the mood was friendly.
