WARSAW, Poland — Russia coach Dick Advocaat says midfielder Aleksandr Kokorin has injured a hamstring and will miss the rest of the European Championship.

Kokorin played for just six minutes at Euro
2012. He came on as a late substitute for Alan Dzagoev in Russia’s 4-1
defeat of the Czech Republic in their opening Group A match in Wroclaw.

Advocaat
also said that veteran midfielder Konstantin Zyryanov was unwell
Friday. It was unclear if he would be fit for Saturday’s decisive group
match against Greece.

The 21-year-old Dynamo Moscow
player picked up the injury in training Thursday and sat in a tracksuit
watching the other players train on Friday.
