You're reading: Ukraine books place at EuroBasket 2013

Ukraine's national basketball team has booked a place at the European basketball championship in 2013, which will be held in Slovenia. 

Mike Fratelli’s side defeated Austria 68-57 in their qualifier in Lviv on Sunday, September 2. Croatia, in turn, beat Cyprus 98-49 away, which helped the Ukrainians and the Croatians seal their spots at EuroBasket 2013.

Ukraine has already played six qualifiers, winning five of them and losing only one – to Croatia in Kyiv. Croatia won all of its five matches.

Ukraine will play the next game against Croatia away on September 5.

EuroBasket 2013 qualifiers will be played until September 11.
