Very disturbing title - Ukraine is Ukraine and not Russia. There may be 25% ethnic Russian population, but they do not want to consider themselves a "minority", which they are. Eight million Ukrainians in the Russian Federation do not receive the same treatment. While in Ukraine there are numerous Russian teaching schools as well as numerous bilingual, there are no such schools in Russia. Why in God's name is there such discrimination against Ukrainians.
sad but true :((
Putin's puppet Yanukovych will do nothing about this. No doubt, we know the Chinese-made outfits would outlast the Russian-made outfits!
The uniforms are just plain UGLY!!!!
Is Russia trying to make Ukraine look bad... again.?
If medals were awarded for ugly uniforms , Ukraine's team uniforms would certainly be a foreruner for the gold . But then how can you expect a positive result when you let a russian company design Ukrainian uniforms ? As a result there is nothing " Ukrainian " about them . Can
anyone imagine Team Palestine's uniforms being designed by say ,
Israel ? Shame on the Ukrainian Olympic Commitee for tolerating those appaling rags . The
ironic fact is that : Ukraine has such a tremendous wealth of colorful,
artistic folk costumes , that could be used as patterns for fantastic , stylized , Ukrainian designed uniforms . Unfortunately , no one in the
UOC decision making department , has neither the will , patriotism or
intelligence to think of it !
