Deputy head of presidential administration Valeriy Chaly has met with a delegation of the Ukrainian World Congress and the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organizations to discuss Ukrainian diaspora's support of the Ukrainian state abroad.

“In the frames of the implementation of the program on promotion of the Ukraine’s interests in the world the interlocutors discussed opportunities to develop and provide information product, rich in content, to oppose Russia propaganda and for proper coverage of the situation in Ukraine. In particular, the representatives of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organizations informed on the talks held with television broadcasting networks [in Australia], which resulted in a deal to broadcast Ukraine news on a daily basis,” says a report posted on the presidential website on March 27 evening.

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the development of Ukraine-Australia relations after the president’s visit to this country in Dec. 2014.

In particular, the Secretary General of the Ukrainian World Congress and Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organizations, Stefan Romaniw, noted that there is a real interaction between two states due to the intensification of political dialogue at the highest level today.

“The sides noted a significant revival of cooperation between the business community, cultural and social communities of both countries. An example of this would be a large-scale business forum, which is scheduled in Ukraine and Australia later this year, as well as a number of cultural projects, “said the report.

The two sides agreed to further coordinate efforts to implement joint projects between Ukraine and Australia, as well as to increase the level of support for Ukraine in the world.
