MOSCOW - International experts have not applied to the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic for the collection of small-sized debris of Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight that crashed in the Donetsk region.

“We have not received requests from international experts and representatives of the Netherlands, Malaysia and other countries. Small-sized debris remains on the crash site. We have not collected these pieces,” DPR chief negotiator in Minsk Denys Pushylin told Interfax on Friday.

The crash site is not cordoned off. “Cordons have been removed,” he said.

The Malaysia Airlines Boeing en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in the Donetsk region on July 17, 2014. The crash killed all 298 people onboard, among them 196 subjects of the Netherlands, 44 citizens of Malaysia, among them 15 crewmembers, 27 citizens of Australia, as well as citizens of Indonesia, Germany, Belgium, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand.

A main theory of the crash mentioned by the media is a missile attack.

The Dutch Safety Board website reported that 3D reconstruction of the crashed Boeing would begin in early March. It was planned to restore the airliner’s fuselage, the cockpit and part of the business class compartment.
