Financial Times: Yanukovych talks of ‘pause’ in EU ties

In a May 12 Financial Times report, Neil Buckley and Roman Olearchyk write:"Ukraine’s president has suggested it was time for a 'pause' in relations with the European Union, amid signs that the country’s deteriorating ties with western Europe risk driving it back into the arms of Russia."
According to the report, the eyebrow raising comments by Viktor Yanukovych come one day after Angela Merkel,Germany'schancellor,became the first European leader to refer to Ukraine as a “dictatorship.” Click here to read the report.
