As many as 900 Ukrainian troops will take part in training exercises with U.S. paratroopers in April, according to Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, who spoke after talks with U.S. vicepresident Joe Biden on March 30. In the joint exercise, volunteer Ukrainian troops will receive basic battlefield training to better help them combat the Russian-backed rebels in the contested Oblasts of Luhansk and Donetsk.
