Representatives of the mediators in settling the Transdniestria conflict will have a number of meetings in Chisinau and Tiraspol on Wednesday and Thursday as part of preparations for another round of the 5+2 negotiations planned in Vienna on July 16-17.

The OSCE Mission to Moldova told Interfax taking part in the meeting will be OSCE Chairperson’s Special Representative for Conflicts Andriy Deschytsia, Russia’s Special Ambassador Sergei Gubarev, and Ukrainian Ambassador to Moldova Serhiy Pyrozhkov, who also represents Ukraine at the negotiations.

The report says OSCE, Ukrainian and Russian representatives would meet in Chisinau with a parliamentary working group on settling the Transdniestria conflict and Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration and Moldova’s chief negotiator Eugen Carpov.

Ambassador Deschytsia is also expected to unveil the exhibition Artists Building Confidence at the Tiraspol office of the OSCE Mission in Moldova dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the mission’s operations.

On Thursday, the delegation will travel to Tiraspol to meet with Transdniestrian leader Eugen Sevciuc and chief negotiator Nina Stanschi. The delegation will also attend Carpov’s meeting with Stanschi. The meetings will be followed by press conferences in Chisinau and Tiraspol.

The 5+2 format presumes Moldova’s and Transdniestria’s participation in the negotiations as the conflicting parties, Russia and Ukraine as guarantors and mediators, the OSCE as a mediator, and the European Union and the U.S. as observers.
