A 29-year-old Ukrainian national who had lived in Monroe County was sentenced Monday to 27 months in prison for possessing about 140 counterfeit credit cards with the intent to defraud, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Igor Shaposhnikov had lived
in Stroudsburg at the time of the offense. Shaposhnikov committed the
offense in June 2008 and was caught after an FBI investigation,
officials said.
