 Two U.S. Senators have called for stricter economic sanctions against Russia because of its destabilizing actions in Ukraine. Bob Corker (Tennessee-Republican), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said on U.S. television on April 20 that tougher sanctions against the Kremlin should include measures against its energy companies, like Gazprom, and its banking sector.
