Oksana Makar, whose brutal gang rape shook Ukrainians and many across the world, died on the morning of March 29 after a grueling three weeks of hospital treatment. A court in Ukraine's southern city of Mykolayiv has sentenced three men to long terms in prison for their role in the rape and eventual death of a teenage girl.

A court in Ukraine's southern city of Mykolayiv has sentenced three men to long terms in prison for their role in the rape and eventual death of a teenage girl. 

The court sentenced Yevhen Krasnoshchok to life in prison.
