Ukraine’s Higher Special Court for Civil and Criminal Cases upheld on June 26 the legality of dropping murder charges against ex-President Leonid Kuchma.
The court turned down on June 26 an appeal from the Prosecutor General’s Office and upheld the legality of an Appeals Court decision in January to throw out a criminal case against former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma on suspicion of involvement in organizing the killing of journalist Georgy Gongadze in 2000.
