You're reading: Russia Today: Naked attempt on Putin’s vote

Editor's Note:The following story was published online by RussiaToday, a Kremlin-funded information organization that has been criticized for its anti-Western and anti-Ukrainian propaganda.

The Ukrainian activist group Femen have staged a protest at the Moscow polling station where Vladimir Putin cast his vote. Three semi-naked activists covered with protest slogans disrupted voting just 20 minutes after the premier left the building.

According to eyewitnesses, the activists tried to steal the box in which the presidential frontrunner had just cast his ballot.

The Femen activists had the slogan “I steal for Putin” emblazoned on their bare chests – an apparent satire on the slogans of pro-government movements which have exploited the sexuality of their female activists to whip up support for the Russian leader.
