Moscow - Russian servicemen, detained by Ukraine, have crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border accidently, a Russian Defense Ministry source told Interfax.
“Indeed, the named servicemen participated in patrolling a section of the Russian-Ukrainian border and, apparently, they crossed it accidently at the unequipped and unmarked section. As far as we know, they did not offer resistance to the Ukrainian armed forced during detention,” the source said.
Ukrainian servicemen, a total of over 500 people, entered Russia on numerous occasions on their own and in groups, including with arms and armored vehicles, the source said.
“We have not made excessive noise over this, we simply returned all those willing to the Ukrainian territory at a safe location,” the source said.
