The events taking place in Crimea are a consequence of the internal political processes taking place in Ukraine and there is no need to hold emergency bilateral consultations between Russia and Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. 

“Russia sees the events taking place in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as a consequence of the recent internal political processes taking place in Ukraine and in that context it does not see any need to hold emergency bilateral consultations that are proposed by Ukraine,” a report posted on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
