Brussels - The situation in the east of Ukraine may cease to be controllable in the near future, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has said.
“The situation in Ukraine is entering a new dimension. The situation is showing signs that it is now out of control,” he told Western journalists upon arrival in Milan on Aug. 29 for a meeting of foreign ministers of the EU member states.
“We must put an end to this if we want to prevent a direct military confrontation between the Ukrainian and Russian Armed Forces,” Steinmeier said
