The two-second clip, part of a longer video beamed Tuesday night onto Moscow's Bolshoi Theater, showed the Black Sea region of Crimea as part of Russia, which will host the prestigious World Cup football tournament in 2018.

International football's governing body FIFA has apologized for broadcasting a map showing Crimea as part of Russia at the official unveiling of the 2018 World Cup logo earlier this week.
