Ukraine is hoping that the elections in Egypt will be democratic. Oleh Voloshyn, the director of the Foreign Affairs Ministry's department of information policy, announced this at a news briefing. "Elections have now begun. We hope that they will be held in a democratic way and that they will facilitate calming of the situation in the country and its promotion in a democratic way," he said. According to Voloshyn, Ukraine is concerned about violence in Egypt, although, this is no reason to recommend that Ukrainians refrain from traveling to Egyptian resorts.
