Kharkiv - Fourteen people were hurt in a clash between participants I a march for a united Ukraine and federalization supporters in Kharkiv on Sunday, April 27, the Kharkiv region's healthcare department has reported.
“Eight people were hospitalized and six people received medical assistance at the scene,” Oleksandr Halatsan, director of the department, told Interfax.
The public relations department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry’s Main Department in the Kharkiv region said that two police officers were among the people who were hurt. The source also said the police managed to contain the conflict.
A march for a united Ukraine, initiated by ultra activists from the Kharkiv football team Metalist and the Dnipropetrovsk football team Dnipro, took place in Kharkiv on Sunday, April 27. According to eyewitnesses, several people were hurt and a car reportedly owned by one of the federalization supporters was damaged in the fighting.
