A 20-kilometer moat may be dug on the border of Kherson region and Crimea.

A corresponding proposal was made during a meeting of Chairman of Kherson Regional State Administration Yuriy Odarchenko with heads of military recruitment offices, the customs service, and the departments for planning and architecture.

“They noted the need to establish checkpoints to ensure the quick passage of transport and people and special areas for checking cars without creating delays in traffic. Moreover, there were proposals to set up watchtowers and dig a 20 km long trench on the border,” the press service of Kherson Regional State Administration reported on Monday.
