WARSAW - English referee Howard Webb has said he plans to focus on the first game that he will have to officiate at the Euro 2012 European Football Championship and is not as yet thinking about the chances of his overseeing the final match of the tournament.

"It was a great honor for me to work on the final match of the Champions League and the World Cup, but all the guys want, and have the potential chance, to work at the final in Kyiv. My attention will initially be paid to the first game that will be chosen for me. And the work for each game, the work of each team of referees, will be relevant as to which games will be chosen for a referee in future," he told reporters in Warsaw on Wednesday.

Webb said he hopes that as during Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland, his father would come to support him.

"Maybe a day or two after we arrive in Warsaw on June 4, when I will what will be my first match will be, my father will come and support me. It’s nice when you can share such moments of your career with your family. I’m sure that he’ll attend the matches I take part in," he said.
