Nearly 300 students are picketing the building where parliamentary committees are located and where a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council is taking place.
The protesters are holding posters with slogans "No Students – No Future," "No Commercialization of Education."
They are protesting against the adoption of a higher education bill in the wording already registered in parliament, and are also demanding the resignation of Minister of Science and Education, Youth and Sports Dmytro Tabachnyk.
About 50 police officers are maintaining public order.
The rally is being held on Hrushevskoho Street opposite the building of the Verkhovna Rada’s committees, where a meeting of the conciliatory council of deputy factions is taking place.
