Forty-four Ukrainian servicemen were injured during the anti-terrorist operation in Ukraine's eastern regions on July 28, the director of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's military medicine department, Vitaliy Andronatiy, said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, July 29.

“Forty-four injured [soldiers] were admitted to our hospitals yesterday,” he said.

Four army doctors have been killed and another eight have been
injured since the army operation was launched in eastern Ukraine, he
added.

On Monday, the Ukrainian army sought to regain control over the city
of Pervomaisk in Luhansk region, as well as the cities of Snizhne,
Horlivka and Shakhtarsk in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers
managed to take the village of Stepanivka, Luhansk region, under their
control.
