About 200 Ukrainians are held hostage by Donbas militants, said Yuriy Tandyt, a newly-appointed advisor to the head of the Ukrainian Security Service.

“We are talking about a figure of around 200 people,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on July 24.

About 60 of them are civilians, the rest have to do with the Armed Forces and volunteer battalions, Tandyt said.
