Law enforcement officers are taking measures to establish the whereabouts of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, who has been placed on the wanted persons list for abuse of power, Acting Ukrainian Prosecutor General Oleh Makhnitsky said.

“Criminal proceedings have been launched, in particular, one of the
charges [is] abuse of power and office. Azarov has been declared a
suspect and put on the wanted list,” he said on the Inter television
channel on Wednesday evening.

When asked where Azarov is now, Makhnitsky said: “He has been placed
on the wanted list, and investigative measures are being taken to detain
him.”
