Activ Solar considers groundless claims by acting head of the self-proclaimed Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksionov that its projects on the construction of solar power plants are "fraudulent."

“In its activities, the company is guided by the highest
international standards of business activities, excluding any illegal
activity, as evidenced by the results of checks by international
auditors and high confidence from the side of international financial
institutions and banks, including Russian and Chinese, whose funds are
issued for implementing the projects on the construction of solar power
plants in Crimea,” the press service of Activ Solar said.

Activ Solar built solar power plants with a total
capacity of 406.96 MW (110 MW has not connected to the network) in
Crimea. The company said that Activ Solar is engaged in design, construction and maintenance of power stations.

“Investors in Crimean solar power plants include both major Chinese
state-owned corporations and European institutional investors, who
invested about $1.8 billion in Crimean projects, implemented by Activ
Solar, including 30-45% of investors’ own funds, and the rest are loans
from international banks,” the press service said.

According to the company, Activ Solar as part of its Crimean projects
transferred to local budgets about Hr 17 million of payment for land
rent, in 2013 it paid more than Hr 370 million in taxes, implemented a
number of social projects.
