Twenty federalization supporters have seized the local council building in Zhdanovka, Donetsk region, the Donbas News portal said on April 14. A flag of the "Donetsk republic" has been installed on the building, according to the portal. "No one resisted the attempt to seize the building. The organizer of the takeover has announced that Zhdanovka is now part of the Donetsk republic," the portal said.
Meanwhile, the Donetsk regional police said on April 14 that “protestors
in Donetsk continue holding the regional administration building, and
seized the administrative building of the town executive committee in
Mariupol. The administrative buildings in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk
remain seized. Today the building of the Horlivka town council has been
seized and similar attempts are seen near the Yenakiyevo town council.”
