You're reading: Advertisement in easement area of roads in Ukraine could be banned, says bill

 The placement of outdoor advertisement within the easement area of roads of general use in Ukraine could be banned.

 The requirement is stipulated in a draft law on amendments to some Ukrainian laws on the ban from placing advertisements within the easement area of roads of general use posted on the website of the State Automobile Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor).

In addition, if earlier the law on advertisement foresaw that the outdoor advertisement within the easement area of roads is placed on the basis of the permits issued by the central executive power agencies realizing the state policy in the area of road economy and road management and the central executive power authority realizing the state policy in the area of road safety, the above-mentioned law proposed that the requirement is removed.

According to the explanatory note to the document, the necessity to draw up the bill is linked to the necessity of creating comfortable and safe conditions for users of roads of general use, first of all drivers.
