Moscow - Aeroflot has not yet resumed flights to Kharkiv in Ukraine, as planned, because the conditions set by Ukraine cannot be fulfilled, the Russian flag carrier told Interfax.

“We received a NOTAM from Ukraine that says they are prepared to allow our flights to Kharkiv, but we’d only receive consent for this an hour before a flight,” the airline said, adding that it could not agree to those sort of terms.

The Ukrainian aviation authorities decided unilaterally to ban flights by Russian airlines to airports in Donetsk and Kharkiv on May 2. Russia decided against reciprocal action or closing its airspace to Ukrainian airlines.
