The member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine have not appealed to the leadership of the chamber with any complaints regarding problems with the movement of goods to Crimea after the entry into force on September 27 of the act on a free economic zone (FEZ) in Crimea.

“Concerning the changes, after Sept. 27 [the entry into force of the law of Ukraine on the establishment of a free economic zone] – we have not received any reports from our member companies on this issue,” chamber president in Ukraine Bernard Casey said at a press conference.

He also said that there a special group of experts at the chamber that monitors the free movement of goods and services in Crimea.

In addition, in early October of this year the chamber experts will meet with the representatives of the State Fiscal Service on the issue of goods transportation.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on providing the rights and freedoms of citizens and the legal regime on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine on April 21, 2014, but the norms on the procedure of economic activities were withdrawn from it, as it was decided to stipulate them in a separate law within 15 days.
