You're reading: Amnesty International wonders why none guilty of crimes committed during Kyiv protests punished

 Amnesty International Secretary General Salil Shetty will discuss with Ukrainian Prosecutor General Vitaliy Yarema the investigations into crimes that were committed during the mass rallies in Kyiv downtown in late 2013 and early 2014.

 During a briefing in Kyiv on Monday Shetty said that after the meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk he plans to meet with Prosecutor General Vitaliy Yarema.

According to Amnesty International Secretary General, the parties are to discuss investigations into the criminal cases that have been opened on the events on Euromaidan.

“There is no known case of a prosecution for nine months…It is necessary to put this question to the prosecutor general of Ukraine,” Shetty said.
