You're reading: Another 20 members of OSCE monitoring mission to arrive in Ukraine this month

Ukraine continues to expand cooperation with the OSCE mission, and another 20 members of the special monitoring mission are expected to arrive in the country this month, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis has said.

He said that 30 mission members arrived in Ukraine on Oct. 11-12 and most of them would soon leave for the east of Ukraine. He said that 20 more representatives of the mission would arrive in the country by the end of the month.

Perebyinis said that now the special monitoring mission was preparing to use unmanned aerial vehicles that are already in Ukraine and expected the delivery of the drones.

He noted said that about 100 international observers from the OSCE special monitoring mission were currently in Ukraine.

“It [the mission] should be significantly expanded in the near future. Its maximum composition envisaged by the mandate is 500 [people],” he said.
