Donetsk - About 70 trucks of the Russian humanitarian convoy are waiting for a permission to cross into Ukraine near the Donetsk border checkpoint in the Rostov region.

An Interfax correspondent reported from the location on Aug. 21 that about 50 vehicles had joined 16 humanitarian KamAZ trucks on the Donetsk checkpoint premises.

A single convoy is being formed to enter the Donetsk checkpoint.

The traffic police are clearing space for parking sedans in the checkpoint zone.

A source familiar with the situation told Interfax on Aug. 21 morning the first 16 trucks carrying Russian humanitarian aid to southeastern Ukraine would cross the border after they were cleared to do so by Ukraine.
