Donetsk – Donetsk regional police have found the body of a man at the same site where the bodies of Horlivka Town Council deputy Volodymyr Rybak and Kyiv Polytechnic Institute student Yuriy Popravko were found earlier.
“Another body has surfaced at the same place. The circumstances of the death are being investigated,” the public liaisons department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry’s main office in Donetsk region reported on Monday, April 28.
As reported, the body of a man later identified as Volodymyr Rybak, a deputy of the Horlivka Town Council, was found in Sloviansk on April 19. The body of another man was found next to him. Rector of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Mykhailo Zgurovsky confirmed that the second body was that of university student Yuriy Popravko.
The Security Service of Ukraine says it has established the involvement in Rybak’s killing of a criminal group headed by a Russian citizen – riot police officer of the Main Intelligence Department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Igor Strelkov.
